Almost like in a fairy tale...

The story behind the invention of this very special magnetic clasp is almost like a fairy tale. And in both cases, love, virtue, and chance played a part.

There was Erich, a young, impetuous toolmaker from Enns/Neu Gablonz who loved going to parties to socialize and meet people. And then there was the enchanting Brigitte, whom he met one day at such a party. They became friends, started going out together, and had a wonderful time.
But one day, clouds gathered and disagreements arose. Once again, Brigitte couldn't decide which necklace would best match her dress. That can happen, because it's often really not easy to decide something like that right away. Each of her pieces of jewelry was very special.
And so disaster struck. She still hadn't made her choice. Erich helped her try them on—the tension grew more and more irritable. And by the time she had made her choice, they were already much too late. This kind of thing didn't have to happen and only caused trouble.

This gave Erich pause for thought. "There must be an easier and more convenient solution for trying on jewelry at your leisure—in advance and without outside help," he mused to himself. When an offer for small, particularly strong magnets landed on his desk a week later, he already had an idea. And after playing around with the magnets for a while, it became completely clear to him. Connecting jewelry with a magnet—instead of a "small hook for hanging"—has many advantages.
So, after many attempts, Erich Langer developed the new, secure type of magnetic clasp.

The surprise and joy were great when Erich suddenly pulled the necklaces with the new magnetic clasp out of the drawer the next time they went out. The right necklace was quickly chosen. It happened so fast that Brigitte called out to Erich to ask when he would finally be ready to get dressed. This led to a long, tender kiss before they left, which encouraged Erich to kneel down in front of her and ask for Brigitte's hand with a ring that matched the necklace.
And what can I say? She said yes! Brigitte and Erich are still a happy and contented couple today.

Since then, thousands upon thousands/millions of magnetic clasps in countless shapes, sizes, and a wide variety of precious metals have been produced and shipped all over the world to make other couples happy too.

The production of magnetic clasps has now been taken over by their descendants.
In addition to developing new designs, Claudia and Fritz are particularly interested in maintaining contact with wearers and ensuring that their products are useful to them.
